March Book Haul

March Book Haul

This month has been such a revelation for me. Books have become such an escape for me while I try to make something of myself in the world. As a result, I have been getting through books quicker than ever! Here are some of the bookish items I have acquired so far this month in my March book haul.

The Priory of the Orange Tree By Samantha Shannon

An enthralling, epic fantasy about a world on the brink of war with dragons – and the women who must lead the fight to save it.

Money is extremely tight at the moment. A haul is honestly the last post I thought I would be writing! Despite this, I was lucky enough to open my eBay and find a £10 voucher code waiting for me! I decided of course to spend it on a book and I chose The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. On social media I have heard nothing but good things about this book since its release so I am very excited to make a start on it!

YOU By Caroline Kepnes

When aspiring writer Guinevere Beck strides into the bookstore where Joe works, he is instantly smitten.
But there’s more to Joe than Beck realises and much more to Beck than her perfect facade. And the obsessive relationship quickly spirals into a whirlwind of deadly consequences…

I saw this on Amazon for £3.00 and I just couldn’t resist! I had wanted to read it after watching the Netflix series and went to add it to my wishlist and saw that price drop. Definitely had to grab it while I could! You can get it for yourselves here.

Little Witch Academia Vol. 1 & 2 By Yoh Yoshinari & Keisuke Sato

Ever since Atsuko “Akko” Kagari saw her first Shiny Chariot magic show, she’s wanted to become a real witch. Now, she’s been accepted to Luna Nova Academy, a premiere magic school. While Akko doesn’t come from a magical family, she’s as stubborn as can be, and she won’t let anything stop her from fulfilling her dream! !

Me and my boyfriend popped into my local Waterstones this weekend. I was only planning on looking at the bookmarks but we ended up doing a full sweep of the manga, fantasy, sci-fi and YA sections! He was really sweet and got me my first ever set of mangas. We watched the animè together a few months ago and really enjoyed it.

Throne of Glass By Sarah J. Maas

In the dark, filthy salt mines of Endovier, an eighteen-year-old girl is serving a life sentence. She is a trained assassin, the best of her kind, but she made a fatal mistake. She got caught.
Young Captain Westfall offers her a deal: her freedom in return for one huge sacrifice. Celaena must represent the prince in a to-the-death tournament – fighting the most gifted thieves and assassins in the land. Live or die, Celaena will be free. Win or lose, she is about to discover her true destiny. But will her assassin’s heart be melted?

Final book in the haul! During our trip to Waterstones I spotted Throne of Glass in the YA section. This was on my TBR (To Be Read) after getting caught up on the Three Dark Crowns series by Kendare Blake. On Twitter I ran a poll as I was undecided on what series to read next, Throne of Glass won! It made sense to get it while I was there, I am really looking forward to staring the series, I’ve heard a lot of good things about it.

Magnetic Bookmarks

We originally wanted to go into Waterstones to pick up a new bookmark or two. I chose these adorable Little Miss Sunshine magnetic bookmarks. It was £2.99 for 5! I thought this was an absolute steal considering one card/paper bookmark was the same price. I’ve never used magnetic bookmarks before, I like how they stick to the page. Makes it easier to not let them slip out and get lost!
